The Joining of HeartsAlice found herself swept away from all her worries. The beauty around her made her catch her breath. The view from the balcony on which she stood, one that overlooked the orchards and cascading waterfalls of the kingdom of Marmoreal, was so gorgeous that she felt her throat close up.
She wished it wasn't all a dream. This world of Underland may be frightening and dangerous, but the sight before her now, along with all of the wonderful people she had met on her adventure, made her never want to wake up.
But she knew it couldn't be real. Something this wonderful couldn't be real.
Alice rested her chin in her hands; her elbows propped up on the banister, and breathed in deep. The smell of flowers and clear lake water came to her on the nighttime breeze. Her whole body relaxed, and she couldn't help but smile as she ran her hands over the marble railing, the vines clinging to it, and the soft gown that she wore.
